Along with Polly and Sue I'm an ''exchange mom'' on the Rowan International forum. It's our third exchange and,as with previous events,it's been great fun.I received my beautiful gift yesterday. This most gorgeous shawl knitted in a pretty Cleckheaton mohair.

A big thank you to Michelle in Sydney for a wonderful gift.
Here's a different view.

I have a great rolling exchange going with the wonderful Theresa. We share a real love of fibre, colour, texture, knitting and pretty gem toned things ! I love searching out fabulous stuff for her and am always thrilled with the totally fantastic parcels she sends me.
A stunning collection of Lorna's Laces yarns.

Enough to make any girl swoon.Helen's Lace[I can't link directly to each yarn type or individual colours,so you'll have to explore for yourself !] in Purple Iris - a beautiful, drapey, fingering weight blend of silk and merino in the suffragette colours of purple and green.I can wear my feminism as a beautiful shawl.Grace is a mohair/wool blend boucle which is so beautiful in Mixed Berries. That will make a beautiful scarf.Dove,in Purple Club,is a softly textured wool/cotton mix.I think this will go well with a number of purple yarns I have, and have the germ of an idea to knit a modular jacket incorporating it.Theresa and Rob,her supplier, know me very well !
As Theresa has yet to succumb to the lure of the spindle and wheel [It's just a matter of time !] she chose to satisfy her need to buy bright, pretty and promising [of so many things !] packages of fluff.I'm the lucky recipient of her exciting fibre shopping.

Totally gorgeous hand-dyed mohair roving from Stone Mountain farm.

A pretty pile of gems - Dyed Ingeo Corn Fibre from Mielke's Farm, plus a packet of Firestar top blending nylon to add some glitter and sparkle to some wool.
I've started another pair of toe-up socks using Priscilla Gibson-Roberts' short row toes, cast on with a provisional crochet chain.I have her book, but hadn't read it,just using her top-down pattern that appeared in Interweave knits.I thought about doing the socks toe-up,worked it out for myself, then looked in her book ! Not an original thought then, although my method differs slightly from hers!Bet you can't tell where I started these toes.

The yarn is Opal in a lovely ''Lollipop'' colourway.
