The bag is even bigger now !

It's almost long enough.I'll probably felt it on Monday or Tuesday.I'm pleased with how it looks so far.

I've finished a Caryl's Kerchief [scroll down] made with 100% acrylic micro yarn.

It's much nicer to work with than any acrylic I've felt in the past.Has an almost cottony feel.I blocked the lace out by slightly ''killing'' the fabric,i.e. dabbing with a warm iron.That set the lace nicely and added some drape.I found some very pretty beads for it.

I've finished and posted a secret 'thingy' for my Secret Pal 2.I plan to knit something for my Secret Pal 3 next.

I had some fab post from Theresa.A bag of really very nice tape yarn.Part of our on-going yarn swap.Now I have to pin her down on her current desires ! ;-]

Here's a close up of the Art Yarns Celebrity.This yarn has a purpose.I shall reveal all later.

I've started something with the Himalayan Silk.The beginning is just a bit of garter stitch.I'll,again,reveal all later,or maybe tease you with progress shots !

I think that being a spinner helps you appreciate and work with this yarn.There are hard,wiry,overtwisted areas followed by floppy,fluffy areas.I just redistribute the twist along the yarn as I knit.The beautiful colours and crisp feel of the silk are a joy.If you like working with smooth,even,regular mill spun yarns this isn't one for you.If you can cope with a bit of rustic charm and can enjoy the handspun quality of the yarn it's a joy to knit with.

Secret Pals are fab !

A big thank you to my Secret Pal 2 for more wonderful,thoughtful gifts.

A hank of recycled silk yarn.Look at those gorgeous,glowing,saturated colours.
With this beauty was a tin of marvellous hand balm and an intriguing little bag.Inside the pretty little bag were these fantastic stitch markers.

Aren't they great,made from appropriate for me charms.So much kindness and thought from someone I don't know.Yet !
