before part 2 of the fun Sissel and I had !
~
Here's the bag before felting.

And after.

I love the way the PT2 [I can't get the pt garn link on the side of this page to work!] yarn felts. It makes a lovely fabric.I think I will line this bag.I also think it needs a long handle.Opinions ?

My next post will be about stash enhancement and, most importantly, the wonderful Saturday afternoon we spent in the company of bright, intelligent and very nice women. All knitters,of course.
I had a fantastic four days with my special house guest,Sissel from Norway.I hope she had a really good time too.It is so wonderful to spend time with someone who shares one's passion for yarn, colour, fibre and knitting.Just fantastic.
Sissel brought me a nice big bag of the PT2 felting yarn I'd asked for,so there'll more bags being knitted here.I need some new Fuzzy Feet too.The hottest slippers around,in every sense !
She also gave me a lovely yarn gift.PT3,which is double the thickness of the PT2,some beautiful blue/green mohair that my camera refused to capture accurately and a novelty wool/eyelash yarn.

We had a quiet day on Thursday, chatting and knitting a little.Friday we visited Whitby. All the photographs that follow were taken by Sissel.

A view of Whitby harbour.

The cafe where we enjoyed coffee [the best cappucinos I've had outside Italy !],tea, scones and toasted tea cakes ! Then on to Bobbins for some serious yarn touching, sniffing, fondling and buying. Here are some pics taken inside Bobbins showing the Colinette yarns and some gansies knitted in Rowan Denim, and similar denim cotton yarns..

Fingerless gloves made with Silky Chic.

We had a most fantastic time and indulged our yarn passion fully. You'd have been proud ! I'll show what I bought in the next post.
After that we had fish and chips on the cliff top above the beach huts.It was cold and windy, and a great end to a really good day.
