Social knitting.

A very good thing, that I sadly don't do enough of.
A small group of us got together today - about half our usual number were able to make it this time.We met for lunch at the North York Moors visitors centre at Danby.

A lovely autumn day,in gorgeous surroundings. We had lunch in the tea room at the end of this converted shooting lodge [we saw beaters and dogs on the drive there, preparing for a pheasant shoot].

We then went up to one of the sunny rooms upstairs to knit and chat. Here's a slightly blurry pic of the girls !

I,sadly, had to leave early,to take the chick to a halloweeen party.Worst party so far ! Oliver asked to leave after 20 minutes, after getting upset by one of the adults, who were all in inappropriate for an age 6 and under party fancy dress. The man - father of the 6 and 4 year old birthday children - was dressed as the scary 'thing' from ''Scream''.What an idiot.
We went to the golden arches instead. The chick was much happier.
Butterfly grows.I still love her.Hope I don't look too dreadful in her.

A not particularly clear picture of both sleeves lying under the right front, all knitted up to the armhole.

I'm not

a crochet loving person.I don't enjoy the process as it really makes my wrist hurt, and there are very few decent patterns about.I have very fond memories of my grandmother crocheting. She made us a huge blanket for our wedding present. Not really my sort of thing but much loved because it was made with love.
This might get me hooking though.A very neat hat !
I came across this on-line crochet magazine here.Hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere else, not even on Bron's blog !
