PICTURE HEAVY NEWS.

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and comments. Very much appreciated. A little taken aback to be thought of as an ''older woman'' rather than merely middle aged ! :0)

A little friend had her fifth birthday party on sunday,so I made these as part of her present.

One of my presents was this fab sheepy tape measure [you pull his tail].

I bought myself some Lorna's Laces ''Heaven'' on sale. The name fits this laceweight mohair yarn perfectly. It's so soft. Couldn't resist winding it into a great big ''cheese'',just to feel it run through my fingers and enjoy the colours. I'm still deciding what to knit with it.

There was something else. Now,what was it...

Oliver is so very happy, thrilled and excited. The fact that he had to come in resulted in a few tears. Nothing a cuddle and soothing chat couldn't make better. So many tomorrows of excitement, development and growth to look forward to.

I'm leaving the Oliver's Fund button up in case anyone wants to help a bit more. We,rather stupidly, never gave a thought to how we'd get this wheelchair into the car. Movingpeople.net customised it to fold down so that it can fit in the back of our estate. How to get it in there ? It weighs 12kg ! ***Crikey ! I really must learn to proof read ! It weighs 120 kg ! That's 264.5 lbs or 18.89 stones !!! ***
We have something to go to next week [it's a secret until then !] and will hopefully be able to borrow a ramp. That's what we'll get in the short term, but it's always a problem getting enough space behind your vehicle. In the long term we'll need a hoist, which cost £1,000 plus, with fitting extra.
Nothing is ever simple.
