GREENER AND GREENER !

greener28:5:06.jpg
The boys went out for lunch and shopping yesterday and bought me flowers. Seen here in the tree dappled evening light that pours into our north facing living room. They went without me because walking is rather painful right now. Has been for over a week. That I've managed to get to school and back amazes me ! Really ! Just standing up has been excrutiating, climbing the stairs like an assault on the Eiger. Yes,I know that losing a lot of weight would help,if only it were that easy. So,I'm looking forward to my first session of acupuncture in ten days time ! The constant pain [a bit like labour, just in the knee !] has been very distracting and, frankly, exhausting. If you're one of the many to whom I owe e-mails I say to you a heartfelt ''Sorry, sorry, sorry.''

For Anita and Kay I shall flash a small but precious part of my stash. Some of my green yarns. I have plans for it all, love it dearly and feel no shame !

So,here we go:

Shall I stop now ? A couple more ?

That'll do ! This, like most of my yarn, has been bought, over many years, whilst deeply discounted or acquired as gifts. My stash reflects my maturity [!].

Diagonal strips grow and multiply. I distract myself, when boredom looms, with socks. The first pair haven't grown much since I first showed them as I dumped them in disgust. The needles I was using set my teeth on edge. Situation rectified, knitting resumes.

When the something-happening-every-row pattern proves too much I enjoy a little feather and fan [I'm linked out !].

I did finish something. A chemo hat for one of Oliver's friends. I decided lace was better for the coming warm weather [you never know. Stranger things have happened.]. It's knitted in Rowan's Calmer, such a soft yarn,in a colour called ''Lucky''. I hope so.
