ARE WE READY ?

Not for bed,which was the point at which this mess was left the other day ! Most evenings Allan will get down on the floor with Oliver for 20 minutes or so,to make a boy mess !

I'm asking if we're all ready for Woolfest ?
Rather shockingly,I'm not sure that I am ! My knee,although starting to improve,is still painful,so I'm dreading the lack of seating. I shall,as I did last year,have to retire to the car for a rest at regular intervals. It was busy last year,but,as word has got out,I expect it to be heaving this year. As I get older crowds thrill me less and less ! [i.e. not at all]
I am excited at the prospect of loads of stuff to see,but don't plan to buy much. Gifts for a couple of absent friends mainly. It's the friends ,cyber and real,that I look forward to most.
If you see the chick and I,come and say hello,even if I look out of sorts !

Talking of the chick,Oliver had a fab time at a Special Needs athletic event last week. Children from special schools and mainstream pupils,with a very wide range of disabilities,were invited. He and his LSA had a great time,running in races and doing field events,chucking bean bags ,etc. Oliver says his favourite event was the ''Javelin''.

On sunday the boys were joined by a good friend and her five year old daughter for two hours of energetic and enthusiastic tin rattling,at our local Tesco supermarket. Just over £200 was raised for Whizzkids.

p.s. Nearly forgot. We're going on from Woolfest to a lodge in the lakes for a week long HOLIDAY !!! So,I'll be even less communicative than usual. A break from daily life. An adventure [all be it tame !]. What fun !
