CAN IT REALLY BE THAT LONG ?!

ADDED LATER : I forgot to mention the new swap/exchange I've just joined.

I hope some of you will join in too. It looks exciting and accomodating - there's a range of cost bands.

It was our twenty-fourth wedding anniversary last wednesday. How the time has flown. I feel so grateful and happy that we still love each other. Sad that time passes so fast.

I can't believe how many people I missed at Woolfest ! I really was there on saturday, and would have thought I'd be easy to spot. The really fat woman with the beautiful boy in a wheelchair ! Admittedly, the boys did wander around without me quite a bit, whilst I sat in the ''seating area'' [a very welcome addition]nursing my knee/leg/back. I'm not going to talk about what ails me this time. I'm fed up with it,so guess everyone else is.
Hello to Sarah, who very bravely came up and said hello. Your red batiked and beaded dress was beautiful.
Here's the Woolclip yurt.

So,sorry to Anne,Mary,Purlpower and all the others I missed. Next year ? We've already re-booked the lodge ! This is the view to the back. The cream blobs were sheep,a downs breed. Very noisy. At 5 a.m. When the cockerel crowed. !

What did I buy ? Surprisingly little. I found it a bit overwhelming. The abbundance of choice, the livestock, the fantastic, slightly mad, knitters and spinners and the heat. Couldn't make any decisions ! Here's the rather pitiful haul.

Merino and silk caps dyed with natural dyes from Fiery Felts.
mohair10:7:06.jpg
Some hand-dyed 4ply 100% mohair from one of the Wool Clip collective. Can't remember who. Nice colours though. ;-]
The boys must have been a tad unsettled by my lack of purchases,as they did some yarn shopping themselves ! They bought me a hank of handspun, handdyed mohair/angora. Very soft and pretty. I'm currently searching for something to knit with it,to make a luscious scarf.

Legs hurting and I'm running out of steam ! One more tale.
I've found my favourite sock yarn,so far ! It's fine, soft, bouncy yet resilient. Comes in fab colours too. I joined Posh Yarns Sock Club. A bit of an extravagance. This is July's yarn. 70% merino/30% cashmere !

Here it is wound up - I think you get a better idea of colour balance when the yarn is wound into a cake.

I'm knitting the free sock pattern offered by Posh Yarns. I'm knitting it on 5 needles, size 2.5mm and shall sub the toe and heel. I like the pooling, before you all start on about it !
