WHAT ? !

I shall really miss Oliver when he's back at school. We've been busy, although I'm not sure how good a holiday he's had. Monday, his seventh birthday, will be the first day this holiday that he's spent any time with other children. How sad is that ?
We're only having a small party, with a bigger ''football party'' after term starts. So far two of the five friends he asked have said they're coming. We'll have fun, regardless !

Although I'll miss him, once he's back at school,I shall enjoy a break from the six, almost seven year old boy chatter. I love that he chatters so freely to me,covering a staggering range of topics. Wish he spoke as much at school. I also love and need some quiet time. I feel guilty for saying that. He's a joy to have around. I really will miss him.

recipient got her package the other day. I'm so pleased that Jo seems to like everything. I had great fun picking stuff out for her,and finding a wide range of colours that included her favourite blue, green and yellow.

A pitiful amount of knitting has occured of late.

I'll have to knuckle down if I'm to avoid anihilation right at the start of

Obviously that won't be my sock. Equally obviously,I can't win. What was I thinking ? Anyone got a white flag ?

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to,and bid on,the auctions. I've heard, via a convoluted grapevine, that my family think it's ''awful'' that we have ''taken money from strangers'' for Oliver. As none of them offered any help, give us any support,or contributed a single penny to Oliver's Fund, their opinion has zero significance.
I just needed to say that.
We had the Quest 88 rep in to measure for Oliver's new leg braces. The chick is happy about that. He goes surprisingly fast on his trike. Allan has to run to keep up. Self propelled speed is a great gift to give a disabled child, who can't even crawl ''properly",never mind walk or run.
Thank you.
