I'LL NEVER BE BIG

in the knitblog universe. I don't have the time,or,really and truly,the inclination,to post on a daily or semi daily basis. I very much admire those who do,and keep it interesting.
Me ? I don't have the time,energy or,right now the knitting and spinning production levels to keep the blog fed. There is also the small problem of losing the blogging habit,along with the e-mailing habit. My knees,legs and joints in general,are getting better. But I am not BETTER. There's a long way to go before I can happily sit at the computer for a couple of hours,catching up. You'll just have to bear with me until I get back into the knitting,spinning and blogging groove. Well,those who haven't dumped me from their Bloglines subs that is ! Or maybe the disability talk/links put them off ? Oh well...

I'm chugging along the foot of the second sock,but won't take pics until they're done. In the meantime I await,with some trepidation,the start of

The closer it gets the more I realise that I am absolutely mad to be doing this ! What was I thinking ?! Still,I have some gorgeos yarn,sent with a stirring message ["Go forth to battle."],the needles and the hope that my knitting muse returns. H-E-L-P !

No knitting doesn't mean no yarn ! I'm going to eek the disclosure out. Give you all something to look forward to !
Anyway,I bought some sock yarn. Because I wouldn't want to run out ! Snort !

I love seeing the different dye signatures of all the wondeful smaller producers that are popping up. This girl's colours are soft,muted and slightly faded. She spent ages experimenting,determined to avoid pooling. I like the koigu style short pieces of each colour,and the tweedy effect when knitted up. You might want to try some yourself !
I do love my current favourite sock yarn [Lucia] though. So nice to knit.

That's it ! It was 28C here today. Slightly insane for the time of year. I'm hot,tired and slightly grumpy. It's coming up to 11.30 p.m. , I'm going to sit outside to cool off !
