FAVOURITE COLOUR SWAP.

The person who so thoughtfully spoilt me was Christopher.

A package of delights was unwrapped. Some purple toned notions tumbled from the envelope.
Inside the light, metallic purple paper was three balls of Silk Garden Lite, in delightful shades of purple, teal and, as is usual with Noro, unexpected reds and greys in the middle of the ball. These will make me a wonderful feather and fan scarf.

A sensuous coil of stunningly dyed silk was next. I will spindle spin that, very finely, to prolong the pleasure.

Oliver is helping me with the Girl Scout cookies and the divine Gianduja. My chocolate heaven ! The deep, earthy flavour of roasted hazelnuts and the not too sweet, god quality chocolate.
[Oops ! "good quality chocolate" of course. Mind you...]
Wonderful !

I had a fantastic swap pal, and very much appreciate the fab gifts.
I haven't sent mine off yet, mainly because I just decided to knit socks to go in the package. Why make life easy ? :0)

I HAVEN'T RUN AWAY !

knitting5:3:07.jpg
Half term left me feeling like a wrung out dishcloth. Very little knitting was done, but chick went back to school happier and rested.
My joints have been giving me hell. Especially fingers, wrists and my left arm where I broke it badly in a riding accident many, many moons ago. It didn't put me off riding ! I'd need a large cart horse now.I digress.
A trip to the acupuncturist has eased the pain somewhat, although it never completely goes. I'm trying to catch up on knitting, sleeping [one of the many things pain stops you doing], reading, e-mailing [not doing so well there. Sorry !] and blogging.

Time for bed now though.
Later...
