My swap pal was Lori. I sent stuff to her, which is always good fun, and she sent fab stuff to me.

A lovely collection of new, to me, teas, sock yarn and fibre. The fibre is Corriedale that Lori dyed herself. I look forward to seeing how it spins. The sock yarn is Mama E's C*eye*ber Fiber Sock in a colour called Driftwood, which really is very beach like.

The teas and treats were all great, and included pure Dakota honey, a tin of Jelly beans, chocolate, Peach Ginger Twist, Fusian Red and White and Chai Spice teas.
Thank you Lori for a very nice package. It was fun being your swap partner.
The Knitters' Tea Swap is one of my favourite swaps. I've enjoyed it each time. Not surprising as I do love to sit and knit, with a nice mug of tea to hand !

Oliver wanted to show you his new glasses. My boy has impeccable taste. Inherited, of course !

He also has beautiful skin. No amount of cream or lotion, no matter how expensive, will give me skin like that. Like youth, good skin is wasted on the young !
He particularly enjoys mucking about on his laptop with Daddy.

The cushions are from this maker. I got the blue cushion first. As soon as we'd ripped off the packaging Oliver claimed it as his own. It has a fab retro print of boys playing cowboys and indians, and numerous number prints. I had to get the beautiful red cushion for myself. I love it. I like to look at all the different shade of red and how they interplay with each other. Enjoy someone else's skilled handwork. Allan doesn't get it at all. To him they are just cushions, not the things of beauty that I see. That Oliver, apparently, sees. Allan does, luckily, see the beauty in the garden.

This most gorgeous iris is called Before the Storm. Ha, ha ! I'm at risk of trench foot from sploshing through puddles in my sandals. Day after day. The torrential rain is getting very boring. There's been widespread flooding throughout the North East and Cumbria. I'd quite like to get June back,
I have been able to gaze at the drenched iris whilst spinning this iris like romney/mohair roving,
bought from Liz.

I'm spinning up 8oz lots of this roving, gathered over time, with a multi-coloured project in mind. It will be a coat as this aran weight yarn really fluffs up with handling.
Some knitting has occured too.

I shall talk about these socks next time, and maybe catch up with the backlog. I still want to write about Oliver's seizure.
