AAAAGH ! A LITTLE LOCAL DIFFICULTY.

My ISP [Internet Service Provider] broke my e-mail. It's beem semi-broken, I discovered, for a little while. Completely knackered for a couple of days. It is now fixed, after over an hour and a half on the phone to an Indian call centre. Everyone was very polite, but it still sucked the joy from my soul ! Their Mac specialist [!] talked me through numerous procedures.
Him : "Is it working yet?"
Me : "No!"
Lots of conflabs in the background.
He really was very nice, calm and patient. So was I ! Almost didn't forgive him after we finally fixed it, which entailed killing my e-mail account, thus loosing all my saved e-mails, drafts, etc., and their server started spewing over 8,000 e-mails into my Mac mail in box !
Noooooooooooo!
I had to pull the plug, then go to their site and start sifting through all those e-mails, which only go back to last year. Luckily the bulk of the spam gets diverted into a bulk folder. So, I'm going through, saving what I need and deleting the rest. THEN I'll open my mail box !
