There's a new sock pattern book out. It's getting rave reviews. Quite right too, as the patterns are fabulous. It's Coop Knits Socks. You can get your own copy here.
The first socks I intend to make are the Saltburn socks. It would be rude not to, seeing that I live just up the coast from Saltburn.
[For those who can't look at Ravelry, here's a link, which shows lots of detail, showing them being modelled.]
The book is ordered. The yarn is ordered. needles are ready. I'm looking forward to casting on.
The knitting I gave a glimpse of last time is the Peerie Flooers hat, which I made for my friend Tracey.
I loved knitting this. It was pure knitting pleasure. The lovely tweedy yarn, which fluffed and softened beautifully after a quick bath, and the pretty pattern made the whole experience very pleasurable.
I'm thrilled that the hat fits well and, most importantly, that Tracey loves it.
